The BiTrac® MaxShield offers a total facial perimeter cushion made with a soft silicone. The total face application helps prevent skin breakdown on the bridge of the nose. Interchanging the BiTrac® MaxShield with the BiTrac® Full Face Mask will support pressure ulcer prevention.

It creates a low pressure seal and sits gently on the face. The cushion’s seal and gentle application, combined with the full perimeter fitting, helps to prevent nasal skin breakdown. It also helps to simplify the mask fitting process. This mask offers two fixed elbows which include the Standard Elbow and the Anti-Asphyxia Elbow.

Step 1
Flip Head Strap forward over front of BiTrac MaxShield
Step 2
Flip head strap back over patient's head, and place BiTrac MaxShield so the flap seal is below the lower lip
Step 3
Adjust the Head Strap on crown of patient's head while holding BiTrac MaxShield in place
Step 4
Attach both bottom clips of the Head Strap to BiTrac MaxShield
Step 5
Adjust Head Strap to fit: Do NOT Overtighten Head Straps
Step 6
Connect Circuit, turn on flow, re-adjust Head Straps as needed
